Speaker: William F. Smith Of Counsel, Woodcock Washburn LLP
Bill Smith is a former Administrative Patent Judge at the USPTO. Mr. Smith’s career at the USPTO spanned over thirty years, nineteen of which were at the Board of Appeals and Interferences. While serving as an Administrative Patent Judge, Bill was responsible for reaching final agency decisions in interferences and on ex parte appeals involving original and reissue applications and re examination proceedings. Bill has taught at the Patent Academy at the USPTO, developed and presented seminars on appeal practice, appeal conferences, and claim construction to patent managers and examiners.
